I conduct and present research in the field of prognostics and drive prognostic technology development within the application areas of aeronautics and space exploration.

Prototype Development
I perform initial research, design, and rapid manufacturing of embedded and electromechanical systems.
LabVIEW Development
I develop LabVIEW-based software for a variety of control, measurement, and experimental applications.
Automated Testing
I develop automated test and measurement systems for the controlled testing of devices, systems, and components.
Hardware Machining
I can design, document, and machine or weld new components from steel or aluminium to user specifications and tolerances.
Modeling and Analysis
I can perform numerical analysis and build new models of components or systems using Matlab or Simulink.
Student Outreach
I regularly mentor students and interns, meet with student groups, and both participate in and organize outreach events.

As a Research Engineer and the manager of the Systems Health, Analytics, Resilience and Physics modeling (SHARP) Laboratory at NASA Ames Research Center, I conduct and present research in the fields of diagnostics, prognostics, controls, automated testing, simulation, failure modes, and system performance degradation. Additionally, utilizing laboratory testing and systems engineering, I drive the development of new technologies, algorithms, software, and hardware within the application areas of aeronautics, spaceflight, ground support equipment, and space exploration.

- Researched a highly adaptive multi-agent sensor network for deployment in disaster areas or battlefields.
- Research included the application of particle swarm optimization (PSO) to heterogeneous robot groups
including ground and aerial vehicles.
